New Album in the Works: Essence

I wanted to share the exciting news that I am working on a solo album of Spanish classical guitar music.  It’s called Essence and the album represents the essence of who I am as a musician and features essential pieces from the late romantic era including favorites by Albeniz, Granados, Falla, Tarrega, Barrios and many more.  I have made a good start but there is still more work to be done, and I anticipate releasing the album to all the major streaming platforms in early 2026.

I am thrilled that the album cover art is being created by contemporary artist Michelle Penington (https://michellepeningtonportfolio.com/) You will likely recognize several of Michelle’s paintings from my music videos. I have commissioned her to create an original painting for Essence that we’ll use as the basis for the cover art. The painting is still on the easel and a work in-progress, but it already looks terrific so I wanted to share this sneak peek!
